 'Pool Predictions League > How To Play

Playing the game is simple, you basically predict the result, score and the first 'Pool goal scorer (if applicable!) of every league and FA Cup match involving the mighty Seasiders. The more accurate your prediction, the more point you receive.

How to score points

"How do I score points then?" I hear you cry. The scoring system is a follows:

Ball bullet image 3 points for the correct score

Ball bullet image 2 points for the correct result (i.e. you get the win, lose or draw correct)

Ball bullet image 1 bonus point for predicting the first 'Pool goal scorer (if applicable)

All your points are stored in the league table and whoever has the most points at the end season becomes the new hero of the Championship new boys.

Point scoring example's

Scenario 1

The Prediction
Gary Briggs predicts the score of Blackpool v PNE to be 4-1 to the 'Pool with John Murphy scoring the first goal.

The Result
The actual score is 8-0 to the 'Pool and John Murphy bags the first goal of the game and eventually goes on the notch a double hat-trick.

Points Scored
Gary scored 3 points for this game, this is how:

  • 2 points for predicting the correct result, a Blackpool victory
  • 1 point getting John Murphy as the first 'Pool goalscorer

Scenario 2

The Prediction
Dave Bamber predicts the score of Blackpool v AC Milan to be a 3-3 draw with Keigan Parker scoring the first 'Pool Goal.

The Result
The actual score is a 1-1 draw and Peter Clarke scored the first 'Pool goal.

  • 2 points for predicting the correct result, a draw

Points Scored
Dave scored 2 points for this game, this is how:

Scenario 3

The Prediction
Sir Billy Ayre (RIP) predicts the score of Blackpool v Burnley to be a 3-2 victory for the Seasiders with Ooh Andy Garner bagging the first goal.

The Result
The actual score is 3-2 to the 'Pool with Andy Garner scoring the first goal.

Points Scored
King Billy scores a maximum 6 points, this is how:

  • 3 points for the correct score, 3-2
  • 2 points for the correct result, a Blackpool victory
  • 1 point for the correct first 'Pool goal scorer, Ooh Andy Garner

There are a few ground rules that have to be established before you join in the fun. Please read, comprehend and agree to the following.

All predictions made must be posted on t'internet using the on-line predictor tool . Predictions sent via e-mail, telephone, fax, telex, telextet, ceefax, page, Morse code, carrier pigeon, etc., will not be accepted.

   
Ball bullet image All predictions to be received no later than the kick off time of each respective match. The system will not allow predictions after the game has kicked off so make sure you get them in on time!
   
Ball bullet image In case of any dispute with predictions, email me and I will deal with your grevance. If there are further complaint's that cannot be agreed, the webmaster's decision is final, so there.
